ABOUT THE EVENT: The Beginner's Guide to Online Sales Platforms & Point of Sale (POS) Systems is an introductory class designed for individuals who have little to no experience with POS systems. In this two-hour session, participants will gain a solid foundation in understanding and utilizing POS systems effectively to begin to take money from customers. Participants will also gain practical insights into selecting, implementing, and maximizing the potential of a suitable system while enhancing their business's online presence, sales performance, and overall success.
Target Audience: This class is ideal for beginners, retail employees, small business owners, entrepreneurs, or anyone who wants to gain a foundational understanding of POS systems and their practical application in the retail and service industry.
Instructor: Charlene Ruell has been self-employed for over 10 years and is a small business owner located in Vancouver, Washington. They have been selling their artisan products online since 2010 and at the Vancouver Farmers Market since 2019. Charlene provides administrative consulting for other small businesses, serves as a member of the Square Beta community, and has worked as the manager of operations for a large non-profit.
